The Olive Press Kitchen

About The Olive Press Kitchen

Two decades of culinary delight

Tuscany is a region that speaks to many senses, a tapestry rich in art, history, and tradition. And no tradition is more important than those found in the kitchen, Tuscany’s cuisine.

At the Olive Press Kitchen, in the heart of Tuscany, Chef Giuseppe Mazzocchi’s passion for cooking will guide you in the preparation of authentic Tuscan dishes based on the finest local produce, artisanal specialties, and the
olive oils of the region.

Chef Giuseppe’s been conducting these classes for more than twenty years both from this historic mill and in the center of Lucca, serving thousands of guests and inspiring them to make delicious Tuscan meals in their own homes.

Chef Giuseppe Mazzocchi

Chef Giuseppe Mazzocchi, is a master chef and teacher, Certified Sommelier, Member of Slow Food Italy, and experienced extra virgin olive oil taster.
As Member of the Italian Wine Sommelier Association, he also brings a unique dimension to the class, placing emphasis on wine pairing and introducing class participants to lesser known regional and other Italian wines.  He has taught Tuscan cuisine extensively throughout the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, and Mexico.

Paola Bracali

Paola, the chef’s assistant, brings both a knowledge of local recipes and techniques along with a passion for good food and cooking. Born and raised in an area near Montecatini Terme, she combines her enthusiasm for cooking with her love of gardening, caring for her small orchard and preserving the produce for the winter reserves.
